Why I do What I do

Hey everyone! My name is Jacob Steed and I make pottery! I love to make things that people can use in their everyday lives, such as bowls, vases, and especially coffee mugs. There is an amazing sense of satisfaction in turning a ball of mud into a usable vessel. It is very similar to the way God uses us. He formed us from the dirt and has made us in His image. Shaping and forming us out of our broken and sinful state, God is the potter, we are the clay. It is By His Son alone that we are able to be forgiven of those sins. I desire to teach people how to make pottery and use that as an opportunity to glorify God, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, in that setting. I love art and I love people, and I am excited to meld those two together in my business so that more people can experience the joy that comes from making art with their hands.

Functionality is Key

Every pot I produce is meant to be handled by human hands. Every piece is functional, every piece is to be used!

  • Lidded Jars

Though I don't produce lidded jars as often as I used to, they still hold a special place in my heart.

  • Coffee Mugs

My key focus is now placed on the production of coffee mugs. I use one every day, and I'm sure you do too!

  • Pitchers

As you pour yourself into the making of a pot, it only makes sense that the pot itself would also pour out to you!
